Associate Prof. Chen Yu
Chen Yu, male, born in 1978. From 1997 to 2004, he studied in Nanjing University and obtained Bachelor of law and master of law degrees. He studied in China University of political science and law from 2004 to 2007 and obtained a doctor of law degree. From 2007 to 2010,he teached in Capital Medical University. Since 2010, he has been an associate professor in the Institute of legal history, China University of political science and law. So far, he has written the following works: How the emperor tried the case(2006); Law amendment body In the New Deal of Late Qing Dynasty: A history of the modernization of Chinese law (2009); History of judicial civilization in pre Qin Dynasty(2020); Splendid Chinese legal civilization(Co authorship 2015); Lecture notes on the history of modern Chinese law(2016). His translations are as follows: The spirit of traditional Chinese law(2013); Legal logic and judicial reasoning in traditional China(2016). In addition, he also edited and deputy edited some works and published several works in relevant academic journals. His main research direction is the legal history of the pre Qin period, the legal history of the Ming and Qing Dynasties and the legal culture exchange history between China and Japan.
